| CONSTRUCTION GUIDE
| About our furniture Ashley Lawrence specialise in producing traditionally styled upholstered furniture of the very highest standard.
In every aspect of the manufacturing process, from the solid beech frames to the hand cutting and intricate pattern matching of your chosen fabric, we endeavour to produce furniture of the utmost quality that is tailor made for you.

| Dimensions All of our furniture is constructed on a kiln dried solid beech frame, which is glued, screwed & dowelled. No softwood or chipboards are used anywhere in the manufacture of our frames.
Great emphasis is placed on being able to supply furniture of the correct depth, width and height in order to fulfil comfort for the very petite to the very large customer and indeed fit into the space available - alcoves, bay windows etc. In most instances our furniture is “made to measure” without incurring any premium.

| Construction One of two methods of construction are employed, Classic or Heritage.
The Classic method uses the very best modern materials available. Where appropriate, coil sprung units are used in seats and backs together with modern fillers and liners.
The Heritage method is handsprung in the traditional manner, using double cone springs hand tied onto a webbing base and individually sewn into a hessian top to form a sprung seat or platform. Only natural fillings are used in this construction method.

| Cushions Understanding that the final comfort is very personal, we supply a large variety of cushion fillers to achieve either soft or firm options to taste.
Choose from luxurious duck or duck & down cushions for a sumptuous sit. Or for those who prefer cushions that require less maintenance, and provide a more formal appearance, choose from a range of combination duvet cushions, foam or fibre. More details on the different cushion types are provided when specifying your furniture.

| Trimmings Your chosen design may be enhanced by the addition of a variety of trimmings. Choose from our extensive ranges of bullion fringe, cording, ruche and braid, or select a contrast piping to emphasise detail.
