TRADING CONDITIONS
A deposit of 30% is required at the point of order with the balance becoming due seven days before delivery. Should the customer delay the delivery for any reason the balance will become due for payment. We accept Mastercard and Visa credit cards, Switch and Maestro debit cards, cheque or bank transfer.
CANCELLATION OF ORDERS
An order can be cancelled up to seven days from point of order for a full refund of the deposit. Orders cancelled seven to twenty one days after point of order will be subject to a 50% refund of the deposit placed. Due to the bespoke nature of our business and because the furniture is made entirely to your specifications and not from stock, once this cancellation period has elapsed it will not be possible to cancel the order or return the furniture after delivery.
DELIVERY
As the furniture is made to order delivery is generally eight to ten weeks from the receipt of the deposit. Delivery of all orders is subject to fabric/leather availability at the time of placing the order. Ashley Lawrence will always inform you if your chosen cover is out of stock, if that may extend the lead time quoted.
Ashley Lawrence will not accept any liability for any extra costs incurred by you as a result of incorrect or incomplete measurements or information supplied by the customer. Please inform us in advance of any difficulty with the delivery so that we may suggest solutions. The final responsibility lies with you the customer to ensure that access is adequate.
All UK mainland deliveries are subject to a payment of fifty (50) pounds. We are happy to ship our furniture worldwide, with carriage charged at cost.
GUARANTEES
All guarantees shall start from the date of delivery of the furniture.
All Ashley Lawrence furniture is guaranteed to be free of manufacturing defects, subject to reasonable wear and tear in a normal domestic environment, as specified below:
UPHOLSTERY
The springs and frame are guaranteed against manufacturing defects for ten (10) years.
FABRIC
Ashley Lawrence and the fabric houses guarantee the fabrics for one year from the date of delivery. Sunlight will fade most fabrics and precaution should always be taken to protect from exposure to direct sunlight and other heat sources. Fabrics are graded from occasional domestic to contract in terms of wearability. Ashley Lawrence recommend your chosen fabric achieves a minimum rating of general domestic use.
The application of fabric protection is covered by a five-year guarantee.
PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS
Ashley Lawrence has a policy of continuous product development and reserve the right to amend the specifications of any goods or products without prior notice in relation to future sales.
When furniture has been ordered at different times, Ashley Lawrence cannot guarantee to colour match fabrics or other materials. Normal settling of fibre should be expected and is a characteristic of all cushions.
All upholstery supplied by Ashley Lawrence complies with the requirements of the 'Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988' (as amended in 1989 and 1993). All furniture sizes quoted in Ashley Lawrences' sales literature are approximate and intended for guidance only.
